Apple Pie in an Apple

I sped through making these with all the rushed excitement I had in me - and you can tell that from the way the first one has been carefully laid out while the second is all wonky and different sizes.  And I couldn't wait to finish the third and fourth before taking the photo.

Pretty good! They go a little downhill I feel after going into the oven (by turning brown), but I suspect that's why the pic on Pinterest is pre-cooked stage - so I like to imagine mine is pretty much perfect.  Needed more cinnanmon and for the insides to be chopped up more, but that's probably because I didn't read the instructions properly.
